Help?

Can anyone tell me if my stats are decent good or what?
I have been trying to balance out the defense against magic and armor and was seeing that my weapon damage is really falling behind. So, should I start massing up my dexterity for my archer or keep on doing the balance build on adding 1 point on every stat.

I assigned my points 2:1 dexterity to constitution while levelling up. Strength and Intelligence: I just put points in when I had spare gold. Luck: Sort of the same. Later on, I put enough points to try to maintain at least a 20% crit chance. If you're worried about defence – I would worry more about magic defence (intelligence); you can evade attacks from other scouts or warriors but not mages. Then again, if a mage hits you and crits you're going to lose a big chunk of health regardless. Just ask Synekin!

I am a mage, I have decided constitution doesn't help me neough to be to uptight about it, but I put my stats about 3:2:1 int:con:luck and like Calennir, only str and dex when I have spare gold.
Since con still does plenty of good for an archer. I would follow the 3:2:1 int con luck. I have a crit chance of around 50% when I potion up. (I have two special items that give me over 1k luck just on their own)

So use those potions? I usually ignore those as they are only temporarily buffs.

Potions are quite useful in some circumstances such as a difficult guild fight, a dungeon monster, or guild dungeon. A temporary buff can mean the difference between a win or loss for you.
I also follow the 3:2:1 ratio in assigning points.

I had a thread about this very thing in another section of the board. I was curious was others looked like. Here's mine from my first post: Now I'm at level 114 and I'm at: Stat Raw w/Bonuses Str | 671 | 671 | Dex | 671 | 671 | Int | 1071 | 3016 | Con | 971 | 971 | Luck | 871 | 1411 |
FYI, that gives 335 for Defense and Evasion; 223,330 Hit Points and 30.94% luck bonus.

FYI, that gives 335 for Defense and Evasion; 223,330 Hit Points and 30.94% luck bonus. Interesting for comparisons sakes. I'm level 71 Mage Str 200 - 258 Dex 200 - 258 Int 617 - 1724 Con 394 - 741 Lck 406 - 717 you're way beyond me at lev 69. Indicates that you probably preference quests based on gold, where as I take the highest xp. I think this is just personal preference but I'm curious what other members think. Say in Guild war scenario is it better to have a strong lev 60 toon that has poured a lot of money into stats or a weak lev 70 on your team who put effort into XP. You get bonus for level in damage so I'm not really sure which toon is effectively stronger in that scenario. (this also assumes pursuing xp over gold would gain a toon 10 levels over the lev 60 toon, big and probably incorrect assumption that I am too lazy to do my sums to prove)

I used to always go for the biggest gold rewards in quests... now i split it... i spend one level taking the gold quests and the next level on XP ~ i think it helps to balance everything out.

I tend to take the gold quests until I'm just about half way to level and then I'll take the xp quests until I've crossed the level threshold.

I always go for experience now, I used to always go for gold. I figure working city guard makes up the difference. I typically work 10 to 15 hours of city guard, depends on whether I get home for lunch or not. I can typically buy two points of my main stat each day, one or two of con and luck, and a few of the low stat. Now that it costs 52000 to increase int, 21000 to increase con, 11000 to increase luck and 3200 to level str or dex, the str or dex fills in the gaps to get the gold supply down to fight in the arena.
I never buy str or dex potions, EVER. as a scout, i would never buy str or int, and as a warrior, i would never buy int or dex potions. Since you can only have three potions active at any one time, I go for int, con and luck (i don't get lucky enough to have massive mushrooms to buy the 15 mushroom life potions, nor do I ever find them for no mushroom costs).
